R&D plays a crucial role in our company’s growth, which is why management places strong emphasis on innovation. Our innovation activities focus on the research and development of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), intermediates and specialty chemicals.

Our priority is to develop processes used to manufacture products sold not only in the Czech market but primarily in international markets. Part of our research capacity is dedicated to our business partners. Selected research results are patented in the Czech Republic, Europe and the United States. Our R&D specialists work closely with other departments to solve problems and help prepare documentation for regulatory submissions.

Synthesis
Synthesis is one of our company’s core pillars, as every business engaged in generic pharmaceuticals must continuously seek new processes and methods for preparing active pharmaceutical ingredients. We therefore devote considerable attention to this area. Our goal is to identify and optimise processes for preparing these substances and their intermediates, both before the expiry of the basic compound patent and after patent protection has expired when the substances remain commercially attractive. Part of our capacity is dedicated to specialty chemicals.

R&D analytical laboratory
The analytical laboratory department works in close coordination with the synthesis department. It is equipped with all instruments required to analyse substances and verify their purity.
The available instrumentation includes LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR and DSC.
