“An active social life is absolutely essential for a person's vitality and mental well-being, and that includes the opportunity to share stories with younger generations. Through our project, we want to help facilitate this and build a lasting tradition. Both the seniors themselves and all our employees look forward to this event every year,” says project founder and FARMAK PR manager Bronislava Paučková.
Right at the start of the event, a warm welcome awaited the seniors at the Botanical Garden gate from FARMAK employees and their colleagues from the sister company MedicProgress, which is part of the same holding group. The official program and welcome were opened by Bronislava Paučková, who moderated the entire event. She welcomed distinguished guests to the stage, including the First Deputy Governor of the Olomouc Region Jiří Lichnovský, OLIVIE project director Lubomír Baláš, and Flora Olomouc Exhibition Grounds director Eva Fuglíčková, all of whom delivered greetings. The block of official speeches was concluded by FARMAK CEO Miroslav Ulrich, who offered his thanks. All the speakers agreed that supporting such intergenerational activities is of immense value to the Olomouc region.
A musical performance by the Bel Canto chamber choir followed. Next on the program was a walk among the blooming flowerbeds, which became a space for lively dialogue between generations and a moment to share life stories. This was followed by a served lunch provided by FARMAK – GASTRO s.r.o.
Tuesday's meeting in the Rosarium demonstrated that connecting the private sector, regional institutions, and social services has clear benefits. FARMAK plans to continue this tradition and further assist in the development of intergenerational activities and the support of active living for seniors in the Olomouc Region.
