Head of Occupational Health & Safety and Fire Protection
Become part of our team. We are currently looking for an experienced colleague to take professional responsibility for occupational health and safety, fire protection and company security. In this role, you will be an important partner to company management, line managers, specialist departments, external partners and the relevant public authorities. Responsibilities
Occupational health and safety and risk prevention
- professional and methodological management of the occupational health and safety system across the company
- organisation and evaluation of risk assessments and workplace risk analyses
- assessment of work safety during preparation of investment, technological, manufacturing and operational changes
- workplace inspections and cooperation with line managers in setting preventive and corrective measures
- investigation of occupational injuries and cooperation in addressing extraordinary events, emergency prevention and occupational diseases
- cooperation on job categorisation and assessment of workplace environmental risk factors
Fire protection
- ensuring the company’s fire protection in accordance with legal, technical and internal requirements
Company security and external protection
- coordinating activities related to security of the company premises
Team leadership and responsibilities
- leading the assigned team and ensuring related administration in line with company internal rules
Requirements
- at least secondary education with a school-leaving examination; university education in engineering, safety, chemistry, fire safety or a related field is an advantage
- valid certification as a competent person for performance of occupational health and safety risk-prevention tasks under Act No. 309/2006 Coll.
- valid fire protection technician certificate under Section 11 of Act No. 133/1985 Coll.; professional competence in fire protection is an advantage
- experience in occupational health and safety and fire protection in manufacturing, engineering, chemical, pharmaceutical, laboratory, warehousing or similar operations
- experience in risk assessment, inspections, OHS and fire protection documentation, employee training and setting preventive and corrective measures
- attention to detail, consistency, independence and the ability to enforce safety rules in a professional and respectful manner
